Wow! What an exciting New year God has given to us all! All I can say is that I am very blessed to pastor at such a loving little country church! Our vision for 2016 is bright and I know God is going to do some amazing work this year!
God placed a message series on my heart as we start out this exciting new 2016 year. He is challenging us with "New Year New You!" I know this slogan has been used by many companies as a catch phrase to start a new year. God is challenging us to not make new year's resolutions, but new year commitments to draw our lives closer to Him. We desire to not make this just a calendar changing year, but a life changing year! I will be placing the outlines for each message from the series on the Pastor Page. I pray you all have a very blessed new Year. One final thought of focus for this new year, "Life is the classroom and love is the lesson!"
Love you all,
I am going to leave the message points from "Let Go and Let God" posted here on the welcome page, as we all need to let God have His way in our lives on a daily basis. God poured out his blessings on the Church in Acts 2:41-47 and He wants to do the same for us today! The four steps we must take as believers to "Let Go and Let God" are the following:
1) Claim Our Power (Acts 1:8)
2) Accept Our Mission (Matthew 28:19)
3) Unite in Love (Matthew 22:37-40)
4) Focus on Our Purpose (Romans 8:28)
That same God that saved 3,000 souls on the Day of Pentecost is the same God we serve today! We must unite together as a Church and Impact the world around us for the glory of God! Start each morning by saying, "Lord, What would you have me to do?" When we have a T.G.I.F. day (Today God is First), we truly "Let Go and Let God"!
Folks are truly excited about the growth and vision God has placed upon our hearts. We continue our Discipleship Training Bible Study on Sunday nights. We are currently studying our belief statements and the bibilical guide for these beliefs.
Wednesday nights we continue the great time of fellowship in our weekly Bible study. We started a new Bible study in 2016 focusing on the "Power of Prayer." I invite you to join us on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m.
I also want to invite those in the community who do not have a Church home to come and grow with us. I feel God has led us to be a Church that everyone is invited to come as you are and allow God to make a difference in your life! Too many times we want to judge people because they are different than us and that is not what God wants for His Church. Hope to see you real soon at one of our morning services at 10:30 a.m. I believe you will enjoy our worship services and quickly feel you are part of our church family!
Please continue to pray for the Church and our staff as we reach out to the community with the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ. Remember if you don't have a Church home, you have a family waiting for you to join us here at Concord General Baptist. I hope to see you at one of our services in the near future. Have a blessed week in the Lord!
