What amazing services we have been blessed to experience so far this month as we head to the exciting birth of our Savior on Christmas Day! We have been going through a Christmas message series with a focus on Christ as the center of everyone's Christmas. This coming Sunday the final message in this series is titled "No Room!". I pray this year that everyone makes room for Jesus in their hearts and allow Him to be the focus of their Christmas presence.
I want to say a special thanks to Carol Byers and my lovely wife Kimberly for all the hard work that went into the Christmas program this past Sunday night. The youth kids did an awesome job presenting "Christmas by The Book". We had a very nice attendance to watch the program and I know everyone was blessed by the message within the narrative skit.
We continue to pray for Operation Christmas Child and are excited for the 78 boxes we were blessed to pack and ship out this year! What an amazing ministry and I am so thankful that God has allowed us to be a small part of a ministry that has passed out over 100 million shoe boxes over the past twenty plus years. That is taking the Great Commission to heart and making a difference in this world.
I always want to praise God for His blessings and the way He guides and directs our services at Concord. I am so blessed to be pastoring at such an amazing little country Church. I hope to see you at one of our upcoming services, as we come together to worship our amazing Savior! Have a Blessed Week!
Love you all,
I am going to leave the message points from "Let Go and Let God" posted here on the welcome page, as we all need to let God have His way in our lives on a daily basis. Two weeks ago I delivered the message God placed upon my heart titled "Let Go and Let God". God poured out his blessings on the Church in Acts 2:41-47 and He wants to do the same for us today! The four steps we must take as believers to "Let Go and Let God" are the following: 1) Claim Our Power (Acts 1:8), 2) Accept Our Mission (Matthew 28:19), 3) Unite in Love (Matthew 22:37-40), 4) Focus on Our Purpose (Romans 8:28). That same God that saved 3,000 souls on the Day of Pentecost is the same God we serve today! We must unite together as a Church and Impact the world around us for the glory of God! Start each morning by saying, "Lord, What would you have me to do?" When we have a T.G.I.F. day (Today God is First), we truly "Let Go and Let God"! Folks are truly excited about the growth and vision God has placed upon our hearts. We are excited about all the hard work that has gone into our Junior Church program and are blessed with several workers to help train up our children in the Lord. We are starting back up the Discipleship Training Bible Study on Sunday nights. We will be taking a close look at the Purpose of the Church. The Church enthusiasm has been great to see and I know God is going to further bless through this study.
I also want to send out a thanks to all the visitors we have had over the past few weeks. We would love to have you join us each Sunday, if God places upon your heart to attend our Church. I am so blessed to Pastor at such a wonderful little country Church. I continue to pray God's Will be done at Concord and the entire Bloomfield community, as we seek to grow His Kingdom one soul at a time.
The Holy Spirit continues to work in the lives of our congregation and we are excited about the new commitments God is placing upon our hearts! In 2014 God gave us a theme of being "Committed To A Better Life." We are all guilty at times of making commitments and forgetting about them a few weeks down the road. I have put the outline for this message on the Pastor's Page. I challenge everyone to read it and make those 4 commitments in their lives for God. Future 2014 messages will show up on this home page and then be stored on the Pastor's Page for future reference. I pray the messages speak to your heart this year.
Wednesday nights we continue the great time of fellowship in our weekly Bible study. We are starting a new study on "Discovering Our Spiritual Gifts". I invite you to join us on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m.
I want to invite those in the community who do not have a Church home to come and grow with us this 2014 year. I know God has great plans for Concord and we have been blessed to see God at work through our first three years as Pastor. We continue to pray that God's will be done at all times and He sends new families to worship with us each Sunday. I am a firm believer that with God all things are possible! Concord is a small country Church with a giving heart and a vision to grow God's kingdom.
Please continue to pray for the Church and our staff as we reach out to the community with the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ. Remember if you don't have a Church home, you have a family waiting for you to join us here at Concord General Baptist. I hope to see you at one of our services in the near future. Have a blessed week in the Lord!
