Wow! God continues to bless our little Church and the work we are seeking to accomplish for His glory. A special thanks to everyone that came out faithfully to our tent revival this past Wednesday through Friday night. Those of you that did not make it out missed a real blessing each night. Rev. Keith Jenkins did a great job bringing the message each night and I know many folks were lifted and ignited in their walk with God. I was very excited Friday night when our youth pastor in training, Brian Rusher, led our daughter Mercedes to Christ. What a joy to see God at work with our youth, especially exciting when it hits your own home! We serve an awesome God!
The revival was a special time that led up to our 163 Homecoming service on Sunday morning. We were so blessed to have 85 folks in attendance for this amazing service. The Witness Quartet did an awesome job bringing the message through song and I had the privilege of leading a lady to Christ during the altar call. The noon meal was delicious and everyone enjoyed the time of fellowship out under the tent that afternoon. God is so good to us!
I believe in my heart that God is getting ready to blow us away with some amazing new growth. Our goal is to be an outreach in our community to keep reaching one more for His Kingdom. Always be ready to tell someone about the hope you have in Jesus and don't miss an opportunity to share His love! Have a very blessed week!
Love you all,
I am going to leave the message points from "Let Go and Let God" posted here on the welcome page, as we all need to let God have His way in our lives on a daily basis. God poured out his blessings on the Church in Acts 2:41-47 and He wants to do the same for us today! The four steps we must take as believers to "Let Go and Let God" are the following:
1) Claim Our Power (Acts 1:8)
2) Accept Our Mission (Matthew 28:19)
3) Unite in Love (Matthew 22:37-40)
4) Focus on Our Purpose (Romans 8:28)
That same God that saved 3,000 souls on the Day of Pentecost is the same God we serve today! We must unite together as a Church and Impact the world around us for the glory of God! Start each morning by saying, "Lord, What would you have me to do?" When we have a T.G.I.F. day (Today God is First), we truly "Let Go and Let God"!
Folks are truly excited about the growth and vision God has placed upon our hearts. We continue our Discipleship Training Bible Study on Sunday nights. We are currently studying our belief statements and the biblical guide for these beliefs.
Wednesday nights we continue the great time of fellowship in our weekly Bible study. We started a new Bible study in 2016 focusing on the "Power of Prayer." I invite you to join us on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m.
I also want to invite those in the community who do not have a Church home to come and grow with us. I feel God has led us to be a Church that everyone is invited to come as you are and allow God to make a difference in your life! Too many times we want to judge people because they are different than us and that is not what God wants for His Church. Hope to see you real soon at one of our morning services at 10:30 a.m. I believe you will enjoy our worship services and quickly feel you are part of our church family!
Please continue to pray for the Church and our staff as we reach out to the community with the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ. Remember if you don't have a Church home, you have a family waiting for you to join us here at Concord General Baptist. I hope to see you at one of our services in the near future. Have a blessed week in the Lord!
