Are You a Christian ?

Wow! It is hard to believe that it is the month of June and summer is right around the corner.  We had an awesome Spring Carnival on May 21st, with more visitors and overall attendance than any previous year. God is so good!

Our attendance continues to remain steady around 50 each Sunday morning. We Just completed a two part message series entitled "Deadly Poison".  Our message text was taken from James 3:2-12. The first week God showed us the following 3 reasons why we must watch what we say:  1 - My Tongue Directs Where I Go!  2 - My Tongue Can Destroy What I Have! 3 - My Tongue Displays Who I Am! The next week we looked at 3 simple steps to help solve a problem we all struggle with at times and that is our mouth. Amen! The 3 steps included: 1 - Get A New Heart,  2- Ask God for Help Everyday, 3 - Think Before You Speak! John Maxwell broke down the word think in this manner:

T - Is it True?

H - Is it Helpful?

I - Is it Inspiring?

N - Is it Necessary?

K - Is it Kind?

Always ask ourselves those 5 questions before we open our mouths to speak. It will drastically reduce the times we stick our foot in our mouths and also reduce the times we speak "Deadly Poison" to another person. I will put the two part message outline on the Pastor's Page. Have an amazing week and make a difference in someone's life this week! Be Blessed!

Love you all,

Pastor Craig

I am going to leave the message points from "Let Go and Let God" posted here on the welcome page, as we all need to let God have His way in our lives on a daily basis. God poured out his blessings on the Church in  Acts 2:41-47 and He wants to do the same for us today! The four steps we must take as believers to "Let Go and Let God" are the following:

1) Claim Our Power (Acts 1:8)

2) Accept Our Mission (Matthew 28:19)

3) Unite in Love (Matthew 22:37-40)

4) Focus on Our Purpose (Romans 8:28)

That same God that saved 3,000 souls on the Day of Pentecost is the same God we serve today! We must unite together as a Church and Impact the world around us for the glory of God! Start each morning by saying, "Lord, What would you have me to do?"   When we have a T.G.I.F. day (Today God is First), we truly "Let Go and Let God"!

Folks are truly excited about the growth and vision God has placed upon our hearts. We continue our Discipleship Training Bible Study on Sunday nights. We are currently studying our belief statements and the biblical guide for these beliefs.

Wednesday nights we continue the great time of fellowship in our weekly Bible study. We started a new Bible study in 2016 focusing on the "Power of Prayer." I invite you to join us on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m.

I also want to invite those in the community who do not have a Church home to come and grow with us. I feel God has led  us to be a Church that everyone is invited to come as you are and allow God to make a difference in your life! Too many times we want to judge people because they are different than us and that is not what God wants for His Church. Hope to see you real soon at one of our morning services at 10:30 a.m. I believe you will enjoy our worship services and quickly feel you are part of our church family!

Please continue to pray for the Church and our staff as we reach out to the community with the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ. Remember if you don't have a Church home, you have a family waiting for you to join us here at Concord General Baptist. I hope to see you at one of our services in the near future. Have a blessed week in the Lord!

Pastor Craig
