Wow! God is so good to us at Concord General Baptist Church. We have seen many attendance records broke this year, including having 79 kids enrolled in our VBS program this year! Our weekly attendance continues to grow and we are averaging at least 50 per week. This past Sunday God blessed us with 2 new visiting families and a total attendance of 65.
Our family was blessed to attend the GB Mission and Ministry Summit in Bowling Green, KY. this past week. What an amazing week of great speakers and awesome worship services! I pray as we bring this renewed enthusiasm and vision back to our church that God will take us to the next level for His glory! I believe in my heart that God is getting ready to blow us away with some amazing new growth and outreach to keep reaching one more for His Kingdom. Always be ready to tell someone about the hope you have in Jesus and don't miss an opportunity to share His love! Have a very blessed week!
Love you all,
I am going to leave the message points from "Let Go and Let God" posted here on the welcome page, as we all need to let God have His way in our lives on a daily basis. God poured out his blessings on the Church in Acts 2:41-47 and He wants to do the same for us today! The four steps we must take as believers to "Let Go and Let God" are the following:
1) Claim Our Power (Acts 1:8)
2) Accept Our Mission (Matthew 28:19)
3) Unite in Love (Matthew 22:37-40)
4) Focus on Our Purpose (Romans 8:28)
That same God that saved 3,000 souls on the Day of Pentecost is the same God we serve today! We must unite together as a Church and Impact the world around us for the glory of God! Start each morning by saying, "Lord, What would you have me to do?" When we have a T.G.I.F. day (Today God is First), we truly "Let Go and Let God"!
Folks are truly excited about the growth and vision God has placed upon our hearts. We continue our Discipleship Training Bible Study on Sunday nights. We are currently studying our belief statements and the biblical guide for these beliefs.
Wednesday nights we continue the great time of fellowship in our weekly Bible study. We started a new Bible study in 2016 focusing on the "Power of Prayer." I invite you to join us on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m.
I also want to invite those in the community who do not have a Church home to come and grow with us. I feel God has led us to be a Church that everyone is invited to come as you are and allow God to make a difference in your life! Too many times we want to judge people because they are different than us and that is not what God wants for His Church. Hope to see you real soon at one of our morning services at 10:30 a.m. I believe you will enjoy our worship services and quickly feel you are part of our church family!
Please continue to pray for the Church and our staff as we reach out to the community with the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ. Remember if you don't have a Church home, you have a family waiting for you to join us here at Concord General Baptist. I hope to see you at one of our services in the near future. Have a blessed week in the Lord!
