Wow! It sure has been a cold snowy winter this year and it has caused us to cancel a few different services and events at the Church. I praise God we got to have our morning service yesterday. God put a message on my heart titled "Dream Big". Too many times we are stuck in our comfort zones and even put our Big God in a little box and don't allow Him to give us our dreams. You determine your dreams by how big you see your God! Amen or Ouch! We serve an awesome God that wants His children to be blessed and "Dream Big". To Dream Big you must do 3 things in your life: 1. You must dare to ask for your dreams (Ephesians 3:20), 2. You must believe God's promises (Jeremiah 32:27), 3. You must Dream Big (Mark 11:24). Luke 1:37 tells us that with God nothing shall be impossible. I challenge you to "Dream Big" this year and unleash that power of God that you have inside to accomplish things that are only possible with God. Come join us for a service at Concord real soon! God has truly blessed as we are into our third year pastoring and serving the community. Continue reading below to be part of the wonderful work God has been doing at our Church. Have a Blessed Week! Pastor Craig
Folks are truly excited about the growth and vision God has placed upon our hearts. We are excited about all the hard work that has gone into our Junior Church program and are blessed with several workers to help train up our children in the Lord. We are starting back up the Discipleship Training Bible Study on Sunday nights. We will be taking a close look at the Purpose of the Church. The Church enthusiasm has been great to see and I know God is going to further bless through this study.
I also want to send out a thanks to all the visitors we have had over the past few weeks. We would love to have you join us each Sunday, if God places upon your heart to attend our Church. I am so blessed to Pastor at such a wonderful little country Church. I continue to pray God's Will be done at Concord and the entire Bloomfield community, as we seek to grow His Kingdom one soul at a time.
The Holy Spirit continues to work in the lives of our congregation and we are excited about the new commitments God is placing upon our hearts! In 2013 God gave us a theme of being "Committed To A Better Life." We are all guilty at times of making commitments and forgetting about them a few weeks down the road. I have put the outline for this message on the Pastor's Page. I challenge everyone to read it and make those 4 commitments in their lives for God. Future 2014 messages will show up on this home page and then be stored on the Pastor's Page for future reference. I pray the messages speak to your heart this year.
Wednesday nights we continue the great time of fellowship in our weekly Bible study. We are currently studying "The Sermon on the Mount" as recorded in Matthew Chapters 5-7. This study is packed with life applications to help us all grow stronger and closer in our walk with God. I have been truly blessed to teach this study and invite everyone to join us on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m.
I want to invite those in the community who do not have a Church home to come and grow with us this 2014 year. I know God has great plans for Concord and we have been blessed to see God at work through our first two and a half years as Pastor. We continue to pray that God's will be done at all times and He sends new families to worship with us each Sunday. I am a firm believer that with God all things are possible! Concord is a small country Church with a giving heart and a vision to grow God's kingdom.
Please continue to pray for the Church and our staff as we reach out to the community with the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ. Remember if you don't have a Church home, you have a family waiting for you to join us here at Concord General Baptist. I hope to see you at one of our services in the near future. Have a blessed week in the Lord!
